Wildcat camping and trails
If your coming over White Pass from the west side. Take HWY 12 , Take a LEFT on 1306. It's just pass Rimrock Lake. You'll see a sign that says WILDCAT.
Follow the road PAST the Thunder Lake rd. The next RIGHT is the one you take.
You'll know by the small rd sign that will read 1362. Again, VERY IMPORTANT TO
TAKE A RIGHT. You'll be taking a RIGHT at the next rd ( 370 ). Again there's a
small forest service type sign, but it's back off the road a little. It's one of
the vertical type sign markers. STAY ON 370 take your time. You'll start to see
the camp on your left after a bit. You'll see the road to the meadow camp
on your left.
Russell Ridge Trail is a beautiful loop trail overlooking Rimrock Lake, no scary spots there. If you decide to go up Kitten Creek you have to make sure and make a left, not a right there so you go back toward Russell Ridge and not Burnt Mountain. Burnt Mountain has drop-offs,but it's a gorgeous ride on a pretty day.
