Taylor Mountain - Hobart  [King County Parks]

 Extensive Trail System used mainly by Equestrians. Bicycles permitted. Hikers, Dogs on Leash.  Large parking lot for horse trailers located off Issaquah-Hobart Rd.  Tahoma Chapter partners with King County and other local trail groups to maintain these trails.  No camping available. No permits required.​

Danville Georgetown Open Space - Ravensdale [King County Open Space]

Local Trail System used mainly by Equestrians. Bicycles permitted. Hikers, Dogs on Leash. .  Horse trailer parking along side of SE Summit-Landsburg Rd. Also parking available at pipeline entrance along SE 248th St.  Tahoma Chapter partners with King County and other local trail groups to maintain these trails.  This is the location of Tahoma Chapter Annual Prize Ride. No Camping Available.  No permits required.

Tiger Mountain State Forest - Issaquah [DNR]

State Route 18, Tiger Summit offers hiking, horseback riding, and mountain biking. Not all trails are open to horses. The Tiger Summit Trailhead provides access to a trail network providing views of the Tiger Mountain State Forest and the surrounding Snoqualmie Corridor. Some additional parking is available along side Tiger Mtn. Rd. to access Tiger Mountain Trail.  Discover Pass required. No camping available.

Cougar Mountain Regional Wildland Park - Issaquah [King County Parks]

Most of the trails are for hikers, some trails allow horses. Nice 8 mile loop ride available for horses. No bicycles allowed, dogs on leash. Well maintained trails.  Most are easy, Quarry Trail has short section of elevation gain. Large horse trailer parking lot located at Sky County Trailhead. No permits required.

Squak Mountain State Park - Issaquah [WA State Parks]

Located at 21430 SE May Valley Road, Issaquah, WA 98029. Horse trailer parking available. 

No Camping. Mostly hiking trails, 6 miles of horse trails. No bicycles. Discover Pass required.

Black Diamond Open Space - Black Diamond  [King County Parks]

Mainly used by mountain bikers, but horses are allowed. Located on SR-169/Maple Valley-Black Diamond Rd .There are two gravel parking lots. The southern, main parking lot is on the east side of SR-169 and can accommodate horse trailers.  No Camping. No permits required. â€‹

O'Grady / Green River Natural Area -  Enumclaw [King County Parks]

Located in Enumclaw, near Green River. 7 miles of horse trails along the Green River area. Small parking area for horse trailers at access point SE 373rd Street and 188th Avenue SE [see brochure).

Bridle Trails State Park - Kirkland [WA State Parks]

The park features four horse arenas, ample horse trails to explore, and hosts horse shows, organized rides and other equestrian events. Home of Lake Washington Saddle Club events. Park offers 28 miles of maintained trails that are open to equestrians, hikers, walkers and runners. No Camping. Discover Pass required. â€‹

Soaring Eagle Regional Park - Sammamish [King County Parks]

There are 12 miles of multi-use trails. Paved parking lot with room to accommodate up to five horse trailers at entry off East Main Drive.

Lord Hill Regional Park - Snohomish [Snohomish County Parks]

Ride horseback, hike, or mountain bike trails in a vast evergreen forest of upland nature preserve.

Elbe Hills / Sahara Creek Campground / Nicholson Horse Trails - Elbe  [DNR]

Sahara Creek Horse Camp, located close to Rainier National Park,  Provides access to the Nicholson Horse Trail System,  offers day use and horse camping opportunities. 30 campsites, picnic tables, hitching rails, and vault toilets. Discover Pass required.

Pack Forest - Eatonville [Univ. of WA]

Pack Forest is located in the rolling foothills of Mount Rainier in the heart of the Nisqually watershed.  Management of Pack Forest’s natural resources is guided three broad objectives: Demonstration, education, and research. Trails for horses. No camping.
